ETL & Data Pipeline Development
- Design and maintain scalable ETL pipelines for internal operations and customer ERP systems
- Develop robust data ingestion workflows to support automation, analytics, and integration initiatives
- Standardize data collection and transformation across disparate systems
Unified Namespace Architecture
- Implement and maintain a Unified Namespace (UNS) for contextualized data across manufacturing and enterprise layers
- Build connections between ERP systems and industrial devices via the UNS framework
- Ensure data consistency, discoverability, and interoperability across platforms
Real-Time & IoT Data Systems
- Build real-time data pipelines using MQTT and other industrial IoT protocols
- Integrate sensor and machine data into business applications and dashboards
- Support development of event-driven architectures for smart factory operations
Tooling & Platform Engineering
- Research and apply open-source and commercial tools for data processing, storage, and integration
- Develop internal tooling to automate system deployments and scale Vertec’s data infrastructure
- Participate in DevOps workflows to accelerate feature delivery and platform stability
Customer Engagement & Problem Solving
- Work closely with Vertec clients to understand operational data needs and implement tailored solutions
- Translate real-world manufacturing challenges into actionable data workflows
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve system performance, observability, and efficiency

Must Have
- Bachelor Degree or Higher
- 3+ years of experience in data engineering or analytics
- Proficiency in ETL workflows and data pipeline tools
- Experience with enterprise data modeling
- Exposure to cybersecurity practices or secure data integration
Nice to have
- Strong understanding of MQTT, IoT protocols, or real-time messaging systems
- Experience in Manufacturing Contexts
- Exposure to cybersecurity practices or secure data integration
- Strong customer-facing communication skills
